The Department of Geological Sciences
Tectonics and Geophysics Laboratory
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
  • Structural and geodynamic evolution of the continental and oceanic lithosphere through the integration of geophysical and geological data.
  • Integration of the active and passive source seismology with surface geology, gravity, geothermics, in order to understand fundamental tectonic, petrologic and rheologic processes within the Earth’s crust and upper mantle.
  • Seismic reflection processing and interpretation, field-based geophysics, petroleum geology, Geographic Information System (GIS)
